In 1997, during the International Double-Reed Society's Conference held in Chicago, Alex Klein performed the Mozart Oboe Concerto with the Chicago Symphony led by Christoph Eschenbach, a performance which was recorded live and may be heard here. These are the cadenzas used for that performance and which have been the basis for other Klein performances since then. There is a "bonus" for a second option in the short cadenza for the third movement.
